Brief Answer:
Congestive heart failure could be causing your symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
Most of the people living with persistent AF develop congestive heart failure which in the long term gets resistant to diuretic therapy. So this is probably what is happening with you too.

You are taking fluid pills (diuretics) but still not able to combat with the congestion. You can imagine this like if your heart is unable to pump perfectly and causing the fluid collection in lungs.

I would advise you to get a Chest Xray to see for any evidence of congestion in lungs and ECHO to see for ejection fraction and any clot formation.

Also discuss with your doctor about putting you on Digoxin, Beta blockers and ACE inhibitors.

Avoid salt in diet.

Do not consume excessive fluids.

I hope it helps.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Hello.
You are already taking the desirable medicines which should be given in this scenario.
