Brief Answer:
Your symptoms seem to be related to diabetes, not caused by Lipitor intake

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, they don't seem to be related to Lipitor treatment.

The most common side effects of the treatment with Lipitor are :
headache, hoarseness, lower back or side pain, pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones, painful or difficult urination, stuffy or runny nose.

It can cause muscular pain and chronic fatigue, liver dysfunction and allergic reaction.
In rare cases it has been reported to increase the glucose plasma levels in chronic diabetic patients. But it is used very often in diabetic patients, in order to have controlled lipids and cholesterol.

In your situation the increased glucose plasma level and HbA1c, besides the diabetic diet that you refer to be following, is very concerning for diabetes. In diabetes the body produces a lower amount of insulin or the tissues are resistant to the circulating insulin. So it is not just a matter of diet.

So I would recommend you to consult with an endocrinologist and have further tests for the diagnosis of diabetes. You may need to start on a therapy with oral anti-diabetic drugs or insulin.

Hope to have been helpful!
