Question: I'm not sure the Dr is unsure and the results came back normal once again . she is sending me to a nerve specialist as she thinks the pain may be coming from something else also a refferal to a physio therapist .. she said we should just ignore the lump for now .. I'm happy about the refferal's but do you think I should ignore the lump ? isn't it odd they can't so it on imaging ? thanks in advance

Brief Answer:
You can go for a CT or MRI which will give an exact picture.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query and previous question answer history. Ultrasound and X ray are not so perfect to define the structures properly. A CT or MRI will be helpful to get an exact picture.
As you are referred to a neurologist you can go on with that. He /she may examine and rule out any neuropathic pain and whether caused by the swelling. With the recommendation of neurologist you can go for CT or MRI if necessary. After that FNAC or Biopsy can be done also. After that only we can finalize what it is.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Yes you have to investigate what the lump is exactly. Same time you can go for the neurologist consultation also. Your neurologist may send for a CT or MRI after physical examination also.

Let me know if anything not clear.

Thanks.

thank you .. I'm am unsure of how long it could take to see the neurologist .. she sent the refferal but she said it could take a while to get a call for an appointment . I'm aware it could take a while to get an appointment for a CT or MRI also ..should I maybe ask her to refer me so we can get the ball rolling and if the neuro doesn't think I need I can always cancel ?
