Brief Answer:
Yeast infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

Intense itching in the vagina is commonly encountered in Candidiasis (yeast) infection - this does present with intense itching and foul smelling curdy discharge. This condition can be easily treated with antifungals like Fluconazole.

The rough intercourse can cause vulvovaginitis which is inflammation or infection of the vulva and vagina.

Since you are sexually active, use of the condom is highly recommended.
Sometimes, treatment of both partners at a time may be needed.

I suggest you follow up with your gynaecologist as you need to get a pelvic swab sample done for the infection. Apply cold compresses and wear cotton undergarments. Oral anti inflammatories like Ibuprofen/Acetaminophen are also helpful for the symptomatic releif.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow-up queries that you have.

Wishing you good health.

Regards.
