Brief Answer:
May need further treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your concerns:
You have 2 problems.
You have 3 liquid bowel movements in one and half hours. This is definitely is of a concern as diarrhea has a reason. It may be due to eating foods/ taking liquids you are allergic to or due to intestinal infection.
If there is no definite history, I would advise you to watch for further progress and if the loose stools persist or you get an additional symptoms like fever, nausea, vomiting, bloating or pain in abdomen, it is better to consult a Doctor to get a clinical evaluation, investigations and treatment as it needs prescription of an antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotics, symptomatic and supportive treatment.

Your another issue is about an umbilical hernia. If there is no bulge on standing or coughing or straining, there is no hernia. You can get this too confirmed by your Doctor.

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis, and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more or if you need further clarifications or if you feel there is a gap of communication.

Okay thanks, but what about the little bulge in my belly button? What would cause that?

Brief Answer:
Thinning of the supportive tissues with advancing age

Detailed Answer:
The umbilicus is a different structure and the center (supporting fasciae) of the umbilicus can get thinned out over time - as the age advances. This is called a bulged umbilicus.

By definition hernia is a bulge which pops on coughing, straining and is reducible.
Please see if this fits into this definition.

and is reducible? Now when I sleep or sit down the bulge is gone but returns when I stand. The slight bulge I have in my belly button. Once again, it's not sticking out but when I put my finger inside my belly button, I can push it in. Kind of like a reset button.

should I be concerned about the diarrhea when I have that? I don't have any pain. -0- pain actually. would diarrhea cause pain if the herina is stragglated?

Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (14 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
not related as per the history you have provided.

Detailed Answer:
Please read my answer above.
These two problems of umbilical hernia and diarrhea look to be totally different - not related to each other.

The obstructed hernia site is very painful, is not reducible (yours is reducible).

You have to be concerned about diarrhea anyway, which does not looks to be related to your umbilical hernia.

If hernia is strangulated, it causes extreme pain and is an emergency.

Janumet can not cause these problems.

Detailed Answer:

Janumet can not cause any of the problems you have.
But the diabetes has to be well checked from time to time by regular blood sugar charting and adjusting the dosage as this is the disease which can cause practically any changes in the whole body and cause many of the complications.
