Brief Answer:
Use treatment for longer. It takes 2-4 weeks to heal completely sometimes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

I confirm that you are taking the right treatment.
But on the other side, candida it is a hard to treat infection.
Recommendations are that the first line treatment it is systemic therapy with fluconazole 100-200 mg orally once daily for 7-14 days.
But, for fluconazole-refractory disease, you will need to consider itraconazole 200 mg orally once daily for up to 28 days. so if you are not healed completely, you would either need to continue Fluconazole for more 7 days, or if you are not getting better at all then talk with your doctor to consider giving you the other alternative of treatment.

For the infection prevention it is encouraged good oral hygiene such as toothbrushing, routine dentistry, and denture care.
Also meanwhile you can wash dentures in an antiseptic such as chlorhexidine which will be helpful together with the treatment you are taking.

Hope this is helpful. I know you have maybe done the above suggestions, but I wan't to reinforce you that you are using the correct treatment.
Let me know if you have other questions or concerns. Otherwise please kindly close and rate the answer.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
