Question: I am a very healthy person yet stress is huge right now. I have always had a digestion problem and now I am having a big burning sensation in my upper abdomen and sometimes my back( rarely). It seems to travel from up to down and side to side. Sometimes I am fine and then when I eat, certain things set my stomach off, I have not narrowed it down. I still have a great appetite. I am going ahead with my very busy life, but very very uncomfortable. It has gotten better today and one of my students told me they were having the same symptoms. I am having a blood test on Monday for Lymes because of a found tick. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
hello dear. it may be irritable bowel syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. First ofall relax as you seems to be very anxious. I Can understand that there is a lot of stress but ut will only aggrevate your problem. I believe that you are suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. This duagnosis becomes more certain uf you donot have weight loss, any bleeding in stools, anemia or loss of appetite. Person with type A personality ( perfectionists, and having time urgency) usually suffer from it. I will advise you to change yoyr lifestyle. Have a good 8 hour sleep, do yoga, eat fresh fruits, veg, cut your fat and oils. Drink plenty of fluids.
You can take a short course of antacid drugs and bowel sedative drugs like clidinium and chlirdiazepoxide. However if the problem persists, a gastroscopy is warranted to look for other causes.
Thanks and regards
