detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and I can understand that you are concerned about your daughter.

She is having tonsillitis ,which is an inflammation of tonsils .It is not meant that this inflammation is due to bacterial infection that would require antibiotic therapy.
The most common cause for tonsillitis are viral infections. If your daughter is also having nose congestion or cough and other symptoms of common cold ,it is highly likely that tonsillitis is due to a viral infection and won't need a specific treatment.
Usually only a strep throat (tonsillitis caused from Streptoccocus) would require antibiotics.
In this case symptoms are more severe like swollen neck glands, high fever, white-yellow spots on tonsils .
If your daughter doesn't have high fever and her tonsils are red, swollen but with no white spots on , she may not need treatment.
She need to rest ,eat smooth foods, drink plenty of fluids.
She can take Ibuprofen or Paracetamol to ease the inflammation. She should do salt-water gargles several times a day to ease the discomfort.
If the symptoms doesn't improve in 2 days or they get worse she should consult a physician for examination. The doctor will do a strep test at his office to confirm if tonsillitis is due to Streptococcus and prescribe a full course of an antibiotic for 10 days.Since she is allergic to Amoxicillin ,her doctor will chose another class of antibiotics like Azithromycin or Cephalosporins. The antibiotics are only prescribed after the confirmation of a bacterial infection.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.
