Brief Answer:
Purpura

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
These small spots are purpura ( bleed under skin ).
These are very common and are usually asymptomatic.
These happens spontaneously and are harmless.
They will disappear with time.
You can use a mild steroid cream like fluticasone for faster recovery.
If you get more spots please get your platelet levels checked.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

How bad would it have to be before I get my platelets tested? I don't have a hematologist. Both my parents have myelodysplastic syndrome so I am very concerned. Also I am scheduled for knee replacement in December.

Thank you.
