Question: i had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago. right after that i started having sinus problems and my eyes always feel swollen and puffy. i did have sinus surgery to help my septum. i did have bad sinus infection with bright yellow discharge and that went away. i went to an allergist and took shots for a year and a half. that made me feel worse. i been to a gastrointerlogist and did several test but could not find anything wrong. i went to a neurologist and he can not find anything wrong. i went back to my ENT and he said he could not do anything more to help me. i do have more drainage from one side of my sinus. my sinus are always swollen and i have a head ache. i had my eyes checked and they are fine. i guess i need to know what to do . i had antibiotics for a month and steroids but they do not help me feel better. my face feels numb and i what to fell better please help.

5 i always have a headache and usually dod not feel well. no vomiting. i did go to a neurologist and took test and he said i do not have migraines and could not find anything wrong. 6 i don't know who to go see or what to do to make me feel better. i have been to a gasrointerologist and have done several test but he can't find anything wrong. i have taken antibiotics ,steroids ,allergy congestion and nose spray but they really don't help . they help me not sleep and i feel worse. it seems if i allergies then both sinus would be the same but i feel it is still the structure due to one sinus having more discharge. however my eyes both hurt . i had my gallbladder removed about 7 years ago. about a year later i started feeling bad and sinus problems . right after my sinus surgery my sinus were infected with bright yellow puss and dark puss. i don't feel i have sinus infections now.

Brief Answer:
probably sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

It is possible that you have sinusitis.
You will do well with an antibiotic preferably of the penicillin group.
You have to see an ENT specialist to confirm and start the treatment.
You may even need a nasal endoscopy. All the internal structures of the nose become clearly visible and any hidden patholoy can be clearly seen.
Talk to your ENT about it.

Till then you can start decongestant nose drops like otrivin. They help to ventilate the sinuses thereby controlling any infections. You can instill 3 drops in each nostril 3 times a day for 6 days and follow it up with steam.

Drink lots of water and avoid air conditioning and fan.
