I've had jaw alignment problems all my life. I have sleep apnea, teeth grind, and facial pain. I have tried CPAP for sleep apnea for months, but I don't
sleep better (I have to sleep on my right side to get any sleep). I wake chocking when I wear a Mouth Guard at night. My teeth actual grind more during
the day, especially while eating. Various doctors have tried different Mouth Guards (more then a dozen), behavioural therapy, massage for pain, and relaxation
therapy for these symptoms, nothing has work at all. The tops of my two back right teeth have broken off. I tried many times with caps, that didn't stay on. I final gave up on the teeth, which has reduced the facial pain. I've been told my jaw is misalign several times over the years, but doctors always do the same treatments, time after time(for past 20 years). Why won't they fix the problem with my jaw, instead of addressing problems caused by my jaw?

Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,

First of all the real cause is to be diagnosed.
I would suggest you not to take any stress and complete your treatment calmly.
Night Guard is the appliance to treat grinding, carefully listen to the instructions and try to follow them....

I have been experiencing right sided facial pain for a while and i went to a doctor to get an xray to see if there were any broken bones. The xray shows no broken bones but there is this weird circular blob thing in the upper side of my face that i am wondering about. This is where my pain originates and i was wondering what this would be in an xray since i didn't get to ask my doctor at the time i was just happy there was nothing broken. Could this be fat or maybe just a mistake in the xray?

I am a 54 year old divorced white female, post menopausal, just dx'd with a pituitary tumor. (Also, one round of labs indicated I had Addison's, the second did not.) I have goiter, hiatal hernia, peptic ulcer. I am 5'2" and weigh approximately 110. (Gained 6 pounds in 1 month inexplicably) I suffer from chronic, year-round allergies and slight asthma. Tonsilectomy in 1966. Osteoarthritis in neck, shoulder, toes, fingers.
I have a hx of migraines. The last several months, Ihave had increasing headaches, facial pain, stiffness, facial swelling, visual problems, stiff neck, terrible, chronic nasal and ear congestion. Extreme fatigue, sleepiness, dizziness, trouble with balance, memory, irritability, depression. My dr. wants me to see a neurologist but there is a 2 month waiting list. Could the tumor be causing the facial pain/swelling, jaw stiffening? Also, why would one round of labs indicate I have adrenal failure and then labs taken 2 weeks later not show the same thing? I feel horrible but can't seem to get any help. Thank you for your attention, XXXXXXX

Hello,

Regarding pituitary adenoma ,following are the sugestions for you:

1. Management of pituitary adenoma depends on its size on MRI & hormonal...

I have had three cervical fusion ops.am fused anteriorly c3 to c7 and posteriorly c3 to t3 ,performed in 2009
I have had several steroid injections for recurrent pain, but my main problem now is constant nausea without vomiting, and facial pain and earache.i have seen a ENT surgeon who could find nothing wrong with my ear.
My most recent ct scan showed early degeneration at the top unused level.
I just want to get rid of the nausea as am not eating well and feeling generally awful!

doctor1 MD

The cause of your nausea can be- 1. Compression of Spinal cord or 2. Steroid induced gastritis. Facial pain & Earache can be due to- 1. Temporo-mandibular joint problem or 2. Referred pain. So you need to go back to your Neuro-surgeon & Orthopedician.

I get facial pain in my cheekbones and upper lip as a result of nerve damage caused during an operation to remove nasal polyps and correct sinus problems. I would like to know if there is any medication that can help with the pain. My doctor has prescribed a mild anti-depressant but i do not like taking these as they affect my moods.

I am experiencing numbness to the left side of my nose, as well as facial pain and congestion. The onset was Sunday. I went to my Dr. On Thursday and was diagnosed with Sinusitis. I was given Augmentin and Allegra D and Ibuprofen. I forgot to tell her I had gotten Botox injections 302-230-6358 my eyes on forehead and above both brows, upper forehead and side of both eyes 3 days prior to coming down with symptoms. I had Botox several times years ago and never had a problem. The 600 mg tabs of Ibuprofen do Not help with the pain nor has the numbness gone away. Do you think any of this could be related to Botox? Shouldn t I be feeling any relief from meds. Given for Sinusitis if that is what I have?
