Question: i woke up this morning with a sharp pain in my right ear and in a cold sweat i have had ear aches before

Treatment usually consist in antibiotics and proper pain medications. I will recommend that you get consulted for confirmation and treatment. For now, add Ibuprofen to Tylenol at doses recommended by your pharmacist to control the pain and see your doctor as soon as possible. If the pain persists, then you would need to make a quick stop in the Emergency room for rapid relief as more potent pain medications can only be obtained by prescription. Your primary care physician should be able to address this fully.
