Brief Answer:
Tramadol can be of help, x ray foot is advised to see local cause.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Your foot pain is not related to hip surgery. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. elevation of foot will help. Keep foot elevated on pillow. If not relieved by ibuprofen then strong analgesic such as tramadol can be of help. You need to do your x ray of left foot to see local cause but as pain extends also upto hip so keeping in mind that it may be sciatica due to pressure on sciatic nerve should be kept in mild. Further decision can be taken after seeing operated x ray of left hip and general condition.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

no weight has been on this ankle for 10 days, taking 12 hour morphine drug and supplemented by oxy-codone for pain -this ankle is also a bone on bone ankle due to arthritis and has been for several years - I think it is a blood clot or cellulitis or shingles...

Brief Answer:
Deep vein thrombosis ( blood clots) can be cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
In cellulitis there should have been swelling and fever. In shingles there are generally blisters present in area suppling by effected nerve. Blood clots ( deep vein thrombosis) can be there which can be ruled out by venography or colour Doppler study of effected limbs.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Everything else already discussed.
