Please tell some details about pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I have gone through your father's detailed medical history, treatment history and MRI reports as attached.

Medicines prescribed are fine,as per protocol. He should continue with the same medicines. At the same time, physiotherapy has an important role to play.

Regarding nerve pain,I would like to know some extra details-
1)In which part of the body is he having pain?
2)Since when?
3)Is it persistent or improves intermittently?
4)What factors worsen and improve it?

Further,is he a Diabetic or having any other disease except stroke and seizures as mentioned?

I shall be looking forward to your follow-up query with details.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Continue medicines/Calcium-vitamin D/Methylcobalamin/Spine surgeon consult.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

I made a point about right paracentral annular tear at L5-S1 disc.Along with, the report also mentions of L4-L5 disc bulge with thecal indentation.

I suggest that spine surgeon's opinion should be taken for annular tear at L5-S1.
Further, same medicines should be continued along with calcium/vitamin D and methylcobalamin supplementation.

You also need to discuss with a doctor specializing in Physical rehabilitation about the specific exercises, your father should do to fasten the recovery process for annular tear.It should be an integrated approach of your spine surgeon and physical therapist.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
