Brief Answer:
Osteoarthritis or bursitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A pain in the hip and knee like you are having can be related to osteoarthritis or inflamed tendons or bursa. The pain in the leg muscles can be related to a blood clot and needs proper investigations like color doppler scan for diagnosis.
If there is no history of trauma or injury, no history of fever, no swelling in the foot, no other joints involvement then it should be mostly due to age-related wear and tear i.e. osteoarthritis. I would suggest you to get yourself clinically examined by your doctor and follow his advise.

For osteoarthritis, weight reduction is the main treatment along with medicines to decrease pain like NSAID's - paracetamol, aceclofenac etc., Life style modifications like avoiding sitting cross legged, squatting will decrease the rate of progression of osteoarthritis. Exercises like quadriceps strengthening, swimming, straight leg raising will help in improving the muscle strength and will help in decreasing pain.

I hope this answers your query.
