The detail problem is I have lover but unfortunately I married my relatives girl due to some issues in my family but after tht I came to realize that I did a mistake.it is going very tough for me to adjust with my wife every time i am recollecting memories of my lover before marriage only i told to their parents that i won't be give life their daughter but at that time already the engagement was completed due to some force from their end i married but adjusting with her day by day it is going very tough i am not getting proper sleep also she studied till 10th i am well educated and my lover also well educated. my mind is comparing everything and feeling very depressed all time. Before marriage and after engagement i went to a doctor he told i very tensed and feeling very depressed so he given me some pills(Topaz,Zapiz,Nitrext) i have used some time and stopped it. Now it is going very tough for me day by day and i edicted to smoking and drinking but the situation not changed. i have not getting interest in regular activities like movies and any other things. Please guide me.... Thanks....

I read your query and understand your concerns.
Ideally speaking there are medications and psychotherapy which can help you in depression. Before we can move on definite treatment I feel even some simple measures can make a significant changes in depression level.
I am writing down few of the strategies that will help you in controlling your depression leading to improvement in your functioning.
1. Diet: Ensure intake of adequate quantity of fiber. 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits( One preferable citrus fruit). Avoid junk food and fast food.
2. Ensure adequate water intake: Follow rule of 1 which i usually advise. 1 glass of water 1 hour before and 1 glass of water 1 hour after every meals will ensure adequate consumption of water .
3. Early morning Exercise: Brisk walking for 30 minutes at a stretch preferably in garden will be very helpful.
4. Avoid tea/coffee/ nicotine and alcoholic beverages: If at all you want to drink something, drink fresh lime water. It is very much refreshing.
5. Start your day with a glass of Lemon water with 2 spoons of honey added.
6. We all have the feeling to excel in our respective fields and don't spend adequate time with our own self trying to understand our own needs.
Spend time with your family and friends.
7. While working take frequent regular breaks: Taking regular breaks will not waste the time, but it will definitely increase the productivity, concentration and reasoning. Take break for 5 minutes every 30 minutes.
8. Avoid late night socialization
9. Avoid starring for longer time at the computer screen or TV for longer time
10. Steam inhalation before going to sleep will be very refreshing.
11. Multivitamin and Calcium supplement.
12. Meditation and Yoga
Once you follow these principles you will see the difference in short time.
