I had an earlobe repair for a torn piercing. Sutures were left in, leading to a second operation. Now, I have a red bump on the earlobe. One doctor feels its a keloid. Another feels its a cyst. How should I approach? Cortisone shots or an operation to remove the bump? I'm scared of the operation, as this earlobe is already smaller than the other. Thanks!

i am 26years old, 45kg. i had keloids(pea sized) at the back of both my earlobes after piercing my ears 3years ago. i got them surgically removed last year(January) and went for routine kenalog injections thereafter. they have not grown back since i stopped the kenalog. can i get my ears repierced now and go for kenalog injections for three or so months as soon as i repierce them? will that minimise the chances of the keloids coming back?

Two days ago I forced an earring into my earring hole after not wearing earrings for a long time. After taking the earring out my earlobe is pink and sore. Could it be infected? Are there ways I can treat this at home?
