Brief Answer:
MEDICINES AND EXERCISES FOR PREMATURE EJACULATION

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for posting your query in Healthcaremagic.com.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

First of all, the word long lasting sex depends on many factors, depends on both the partners. From the male point of view, it should mainly comprise of proper erection and late ejaculation leading to enough time during sexual intercourse. The problem in it is basically erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation- two most common sexual problems a man faces.

In erectile dysfunction, drugs like sildenafil, tadalafil, alprostadil etc give very good results. If these are ineffective, then penis vacuum pump devices are there as the next resort. Finally surgical manipulations are available in non-responding cases. You can start with medicines only, with jelqing methods alongside.

Now in premature ejaculation, treatment again comprises of medicines and exercises. Exercises are pelvic muscle strengthening exercises or Kegels exercises. In this process, increased strength of the pelvic muscles stop early excitation and ejaculation. Other methods like squeeze methods are also there. But kegels exercises are of prime importance.
Among medicines, SSRIs seem to act very well. Paroxetine, imipramine etc are most common drugs advised in such cases. They also seem to act by delaying excitation. Some recent drugs like topically applicable promescent are available, the effectivity is questionable though.

So from the above discussion, you should be able to understand your area of concern and respective treatment. Exercises and medicines work best together and I would also suggest that as my patients mostly seem to be benefitted from such practice. Discuss with your consulting doctor for prescription of drugs and practice the mentioned exercises.

Hope I have answered your question.
