Brief Answer:
Costochondritis can be the most likely reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to costochondritis. Pain while palpation and movement is characteristic for this. If you didn't had an ECG and stress test then better to do that to rule out any cardiac problems to be on safe side
Applying gel containing NSAIDs like ketoprofen or Diclofenac , methyl salicylate and capsaicin will be helpful for this. You can also do warm compress on the area.
If there is no improvement then local injection of corticosteroid will be helpful. You can consult an Orthopaedician for this.
Do you have gastritis or acid reflux?

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
In such case it can be most likely costochonditis.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

In that case it can be most likely costochondritis. This a benign and self limiting condition and there is nothing to worry. Reduce the intensity of activities which provoke pain. Warm compress and anti inflammatory gels like Volini gel will be helpful. You can take NSAID drugs if pain is more. If still not improving then corticosteroid injections and physiotherapy will be helpful.

Ok just a quick question please
Can pain be heart related if i touch my chest and then it hurts

Answered by Dr. Nishad BN (30 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Not likely to be heart related if pain on palpation.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

It is not likely to be heart related problem if you have chest pain on palpation. There are conditions like pericarditis which can give pain on palpation or leaning forward but if you have it in ECG some signs will be there. Other cause is pleurisy or pleural irritation which also will have symptoms like cough or fever. You can go for a chest x ray also to make sure your lungs are clear.

Thanks.
