Brief Answer:
Mild leg/thigh pain is normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Mild pain in leg or medial aspect of thigh is NORMAL during or following miscarriage. However, persistent leg pain needs to get clinical examination by your doctor.

I could suggest to take Ibuprofen drug (available OTC) to get relieve from leg or thigh pain. Hot water bag or pad compression will also help in this case. Take adequate bed rest.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and maintain genital hygiene properly.

Regards,
Dr S Patra

Thank you for your response. The pain is in the left side of my buttocks and then proceeds down to the backside of my thigh... It was okay yesterday but has started back up today. As far as the miscarriage, I think I'm having a normal cycle now (4 days after the diagnosis of miscarriage). I'm feeling pretty good otherwise. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Don't be worried. It will reduce gradually.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

Don't be worried much. Mild pain will be there for few days and it is quite common following miscarriage. Take adequate rest in correct posture, painkiller and hot compression to ease the low back pain.

If pain is persistent and increased gradually, then neurological cause or sciatica should be ruled out through proper clinical examination. In that case, you need to consult with your treating doctor or orthopedist.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
