Suggest treatment for pain in head after injury
Question: I hit my head after getting roofied last night, my head has hurt to touch all day but now I have started drinking again (i am in las vegas) and my head feels warmer on the side i hit it and is starting to throb.... I am terrified and have extreme anxiety about situations like this all the time: i dont know if I am fine and just freaking out or I am actually injured.

Brief Answer:
Avoid drinking; visit ER
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.
I understand your concern.
First of all, drinking alcohol following head injury is completely illogical and should be avoided strictly.
Head injury itself is a serious problem and you should visit ER to get checked immediately. And if there is any chance of injury to brain, drinking alcohol after it reduces brain healing and enhances alcoholic side effects. You are also probably having a post-alcohol intake headache.
Dont panic. I would advise paracetamol as of now and you should visit ER at your earliest. It might be somewhat precautionary but getting checked by a doctor following a head injury should be done.
Hope this was useful.
Regards.
