Brief Answer:
It will take very long time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for your question in health care magic.

First of all I should mention that this kind of stroke is not common is age less than 45 years. This case should come under the category of Stroke in young age.

Brain gets blood through its blood vessels. the blood carries all the nutrients and oxygen which is required for the survival of the brain. There are different vessels supplying different parts of brain. R PCA or Right sided Posterior cerebral artery supplies right side of post part of brain which is the centre of vision and sensation for the left part of the body. As supply of blood to this part of the brain is block, the area of the brain has suffered serious injury and has stopped working. This part of the brain will not recover completely but some part may recover to some extent depending on the severity of obstruction and the degree of damage. Physiotherapy will help in regaining function of the brain. All the drugs that has been prescribed will be helping to relieve the obstruction and also help the brain to heal. Thus you have to continue some drugs lifelong along with physiotherapy and expect very slow recovery of the existing problems.

Next let me come to the cause of this types of strokes. These blocks are generally created due to atherosclerosis which occurs due to high cholesterol, smoking and old age. but these usually happens after crossing a age of 45 years. Thus I think in your case the cause could be some problem in heart, blood vessels or blood itself. There are a variety of diseases which are generally present since birth which causes abnormalities in the blood or vessels leading to stroke in young age.

I would suggest you to perform certain investigations if not already done. These are Echocardiography, blood ESR, CRP, APTT, PT, protein c protein s and ANA antibody.

As for the increased BP its common in post stoke patients and the BP should not be aggressively lowered with lots of medicine as this can be harmful. Gradual lowering should be done.

hope this answer is helpful to you.
