I do have peripheral diagnosed by my Rheumatologist and have been placed on Lyricia 75mgm twice a day. I do not have diabetes, this has been attributed to side effect of the immune suppressants I have been on since my heart transplant late 2008.
I do have osteoarthritis with mils osteoporosis in my hips.
For many years I have had aching pain in my upper and lower legs
For about 10 months now the pain is becoming more intense, when I wake in the morning there is a sensation of clamping tightness down the posterior muscles of both legs.
I now cannot wlak very far as my legs feel like they are giving away.
I have been taking the immune suppressants which over the years the transplant team has regularly tweaked until the last visit about 4 months ago and they feel that they now have a stable regime. I have been on Norspan since 2008 when referred to a pain clinic in Melbourne, XXXXXXX Australia
I have been on Panadeine Forte since the late 90's following a bad rear end car accident with resultant whiplash which resulted in osteoarthritis
With age and other factors, I now osteoarthritis in my spine, hips and knees as well as the cervical spine
Anti hypertensive medications I have been on since heart transplant.
Reflux medications I have been on since the 60's for reflux caused by my hiatus hernia
I had been on anti depressants since 1971, but after several treatment of ECT my Major Depression has settled
I think I have covered your questions
Thank you for your continuing advice XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
