Rather than cancer a gastrointestinal infection is more likely.

Brief Answer:
They could occur. Depends upon the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking back.

The possibilities to consider are
1. Dysentery which is generally caused due to a bacterial infection of the small intestines. It can be associated with lower abdominal pain. Treatment is simple and you need to complete a course of antibiotics. Lower abdominal pain can be independantly present due to other causes but not generally due to such an infection.
2. Constipation causing small abrasions on the rectal walls and giving rise to bleeding. It could be associated with low back pain as well as lower abdominal pain.

In any case, I would strongly suggest that you visit a doctor and get yourself examined. He could also run a couple of tests and would be able to tell better.

Hope that helps.
