Posted on Mon, 7 Sep 2015
Question: I have recently gotten back on birth control , the depo shot, & on day 6 of it. I have been getting massive headaches even Tylenol can't help with. Neck stiffness and fatigue. I've taken depo in the past when I was 18. I am 25 now. I don't remember experiencing such side effects. Is this common or should I really seek help. I'm in alot of pain. Plus sick to my stomach due to the headache.

Brief Answer:
Give yourself a few more days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Well, headache and fatigue is quite common with Depo, neck stiffness is reported, though not very common.
Give yourself a few more days to get used to it.
It will help to exercise, eat sensibly and get a lot of sleep.
All the best.
