Question: I am a 24 year old male. From last year I am getting pain (Pain Like feeling not always pain) in my head on the top. It comes for weeks sometimes days and go away on it's own. It was bothering me so I consult a Neurologist online. She asked me to get B12 and Thyroid function test. I was diagnosed with high TSH (9.41) T3 normal T4 Normal. B12 was 247 Low in September 2015. I went to Endocrinologist Doctor gave me levothyroxine 25 and after 10 days it gets normal. But the problem was going through then I went to neuropsychiatric again in this month he gave me anti depressants. S-Adenosyl-Methionine, Pregabalin and Viibryd. 10 days was best during medication it seems that I got rid of these pain like feelings, Lightheadedness, Poor concentration. But now from last week I am getting pain overall in my body specially Lower back and restless legs. Also sometimes hand sometimes fingers. Sometimes head. It comes for some days week go away on it's own.
Tomorrow I have again diagnosed at regular follow up for B12 (it is 729) and TSH (it is 2.820) I don't know how to manage. PLEASE HELP.

1) Low back Pain was occurred first when I had the B12 deficiency. and Now after taking Antidepressants now. Ya there is slight tingling or numbness not every time. It occurs when I sit for long in a particular posture.

2) Restless legs means it also occurred when I had the B12 deficiency and now
thigh pain along with Calves deep pain. I try to stretch to relieve this but this give a little relief.

3) From Last year I feel good for some weeks or days after that I start feel again like lightheaded or feeling unreal. It come and go after several intervals. That's why I went to several psychiatrists for this they said it's Anxiety Depression. Because I worry a lot to my health.
Sometimes I get convinced that this is only anxiety Stress.
But physical symptoms bothering me and make me to think that there may be some serious issue. I had no severe illness in my past it all started from sept 2014.

4) No my headache is not associated with Nausea. I just feel that someone has put something at my top of head. and this feeling also come and go.

5) I am a mild smoker (1-2 cigarettes)

All these things bothering me and make me feel something is wrong.

I just wanted to know that is this neurological or this is just anxiety.

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are likely of psychogenic origin/Anxiety/Depression.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

Even I am of the opinion that the details of your symptoms don't make them fit into a specific neurological diagnosis. These symptoms appear to be of somatic or psychogenic nature.Anxiety or Depression can commonly cause such symptoms.

I suggest you to please start doing regular mental relaxation exercises/mild physical exercises on a regular basis and observe for the improvement,if any.If the symptoms continue to occur, its worthful to get yourself examined physically by a neurologist because an organic diagnosis can't be made just on the basis of this history.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.
