Brief Answer:
No treatment for reversing cirrhosis of the liver

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to see that you have been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Once the liver is damaged to the extend of cirrhosis there is nothing we can do to reverse the damage. The only option would be a liver transplant.

But what you can do is learn to live with the damage. That would include losing weight if you are overweight, Reduce protein in your diet which gets metabolized in the liver, reduce salt to prevent swelling and no alcohol or tylenol or other liver toxic medications.

In summary
1. no medication or treatment to reverse cirrhosis of the liver
2. Lose weight if overweight
3. reduced protein diet eat higher percentage of carbohydrates
4. reduce salt
5. no alcohol or tylenol

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
