Brief Answer:
yes you can..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

The answer is yes, you can have hot soups (if vegetarian go ahead for mushroom / mixed veg avoid tomato, if non-vegetarian go for chicken soups)..

Just make sure they don't contain souring agents (no added soy-sauce , vinegar etc. avoid them)..go ahead have the soup, don't worry about readily available powders-not all of them are harmful, all though home-made soups are preferable over ready-made ones, but in case unavailability, occasionally ready made powders are fine..

If temp more than 99.8 degree fahrenheit, do take Tab PARACETAMOL 650mg after some food on SOS basis (not to exceed more than three times per day)..

Wish you good health

thanks for answering that. I just had soup for dinner and took the tablet. Is it advisable to have some rice or any proper solid food ?

Brief Answer:
follow-up consultation..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome back,
Thanks for following up,

Yes certainly you can have solid foods, but try to avoid rice at night time, have simple roti/chapati for dinner along with simply cooked non-spicy side dishes..

Alternatively you can also have some toasts with boiled sauteed veggies and/ boiled eggs as a good source of healthy proteinaceous diet to combat against the fever..

Also stay well hydrated by drinking a lot of water (at least 2.5 ltr per day), preferably room-temperature and XXXXXXX warm..avoid cold drinks and dairy products for the time being..

Take Care
Kind Regards
