Suggest Treatment For Lice And Dandruff In Scalp Of A 6 Year Old
Question: My daughter aged 6 years has lice and dandruff in her scalp (head) and lot of white patches on the entire head (scalp).
She is given head bath weekly once.
She had problem with dandruff for couple of months and doctor prescribed "Ketafung" liquid to be applied on the head for 30 mins- 1 hour before giving head bath.
We are following this for last couple of months.
It has not complete disappeared and infact for last month or so it has increased a lot with white patches and lice also appearing in the hair.
She has got long beautiful hair.
Please let know how to resolve this.

Sometimes the fungi gets resistant to ketoconazole, in such cases ketogulf liquid won't be much effective.
Use noskurff solution.
It is one of the latest anti fungal agents.
Apply noskurff over her scalp and let it remain overnight.
In morning wash it off with shampoo.
Do this twice a week.
For lice apply permethrin 1% lotion over her scalp and hairs, let it be there for an hour and wash off.
A single application of permethrin lotion is enough.
