Brief Answer:
You may give mefanorm

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Most common cause of fever in this age is some viral infection.Paracetamol is a safe drug to control the fever. The dose of paracetamol is 60 mg/day in 4-6 divided dosage. You can give about 650 mg of paracetamol per day.The 5 ml of calpol syrup contains 120 mg of paracetamol. So you may give 6 ml(144 mg)of paracetamol every 6 hours.Sponging helps in bringing down the temperature and makes medicines more effective.
Mefanorm contains mefenemic acid(100 mg/5ml).The dose is about 8-10 mg/kg/dose at an interval of 8 hours. It is more effective medicine to bring down the temperature. You may give 5 ml of mefanorm at an interval of 8 hours if temperature is not controlled with paracetamol.

I hope this helps.
