last ablation was in 2014 and it was the cyroabation. I get dizzy and still have onset of tachycardia. my heart rate goes anywhere from 116, 119, 143. blood pressure has been varying now for over 2 weeks. I do have irregular heart beats. Atroventricular tachycardia and last ablation was for A-fib. Metoprolol 25 1/2 in morning 1/2 at nite. and Midodrene 50 1/2 morning and 1/2 at night then a whole 50 at lunch.
Brief Answer:
Need dose increase and further evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,
It seems your last ablation was not successful as you still have arrhythmias.
If you were my patient, I would
1. increase metoprolol dose 25 mg in the morning and 25mg at night
2. perform holter monitoring to evaluate you arrhythmias
3. evaluate risks for deciding the need of prescription aspirin/anticoagulant
In some cases even with ablation it is not possible to eliminate arrhythmia. So, for these cases we try to control arrhythmia and heart rate with medications. And it is very important to chose right medication and right dose for particular patient.
Hope it could be of help
Wish you good health

My gastroenrologist just took me off my aspirin that heart doctor put me on. It was aggravating my stomach was too much. The doctor I am seeing now says I have an overactive caratoid artery in my neck that is casing all my problems that there is no other ablation needed cause it won't help. I am considering going to get a second opinion from what he is telling me. I go back to see Dr. XXXXXXX on the 30th for follow up. I am just concerned...
Can I email you my blood pressure chart off my iPad where I keep up with it daily...
