Question: I am a 55 year old male, active, and have never had breathing problems.
About a month ago I had was in heavy wood smoke at work for about 4 hours.
I also was also, at this same time.around moldy bread being fed to pigs every day for a couple weeks, didn't realize how much was going in the air until one morning I see it filtering through the sunlight. I got heavynes in the chest the next day after being exposed to the wood smoke, and have not been able to shake it.
I Also have problems with acid reflux.
My symptoms are heaviness/tightness in lungs with burning sensation high in chest, and shortness in breath doing very little... My lung were fine before the wood smoke and feeding pigs moldy bread.

Brief Answer:
Most likely an allergic reaction from moulds.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to allergic reaction to moulds. Antihistamine like cetirizine (claritin) is helpful to some extent. If that is not helping then short course steroids like methylprednisolone or beta agonist like salbutamol will be helpful.

You can take nebulization of corticosteroid or salbutamol also instead of taking oral. If there is any signs of bacterial infection like yellowish phlegm then antibiotics also will be needed. I would suggest antibiotics like roxithromycin in such case. You can continue nexium daily 1 hour before break fast for 2 weeks for acidity.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.
