Suggest Treatment For Headaches, Funny Taste In Mouth

default
Posted on Wed, 19 Nov 2014
Question: Hi,
Lately I have had headaches, funny taste in mouth, constant thirst, urine smells "nutty" at times, sudden weight gain and water retention. My skin feels very tight and puffy. I also have random white dots on my arms. I am a uterine cancer survivor of one year. Oct 2013 I had a total hysterectomy, apindectomy, and gallbladder removed. In XXXXXXX 2014 a 3mm polyp was removed from colon. I also had kidney stone in April 2014 and still have pain in kidney areas and where gallbladder surgery was. And idea what this could be? Also tired for no real reason and at times feel shaky. I'm a 37 yr old white/American XXXXXXX female.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for posting!

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Based on what you refer I can say that you suffer from Diabetes mellitus.
To manage this disease you should modify your diet.
To do that you should follow the below guidelines:
1. Eliminate carbohydrates and fats from your diet.
2. Avoid alcoholic and carbonated drinks.
3. Eat a lot of green fruits and vegetables.

Physical exercises and walking are also recommended in such cases.

To confirm the diagnosis you need:
1. Glucose test.
2. Complete blood count.
3. Urine test.

You should also contact your endocrinologist to discuss about the diagnosis and management.

Ask me for anything unclear.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
