Question: hi sir, i am 32,male, i was using ximinox 5%, fine finastride tab - 1 mg, biona, folic acid tablets to treat my hair loss in 2010/11, i was seeing good results, new baby hairs, hair density got good after only 2 months, stopped treatment due to over itching.
now i restarted using minoxidil alone - mx 5, not seeing good results, please suggest a good combination, is all the minoxidil solutions the same, can i go with any vendor.
now i am planning to start finpecia 1 mg along with mx 5, is these 2 medicines sufficient for androgenic alopecia, please suggest any specific vitamin tablets to go with this. Thanks

to add to my main question, i stopped treatment in 2011, now the hair has become so thin, my scalp slowly becoming visible in the mid section all along. i need thick hair atleat the new baby hairs, how to grow it stronger, any vitamins please

i work as s/w engg, mostly go to hectic schedule most of the time, if thats the case, how minox and finastride will help

nutrition wise i am taking egg for biotin, flax seeds for omega 3 acids, i would like to stick to natural stuff when it comes to vitamins

Brief Answer:
Continue Minoxidil

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Mr XXXXXXX

Finasteride is anti-androgen and is recommended for short term use for treatment of male type of baldness. The effect last as long as the drug is used. Stopping the drug will cause hair loss to occur.

The principle of treatment of male type of baldness are

1. Destressing the lifestyle
2. Local application of agents like Minoxidil: Any pharmacetucial brand will do.
3. Hair massage and oils

I would suggest the following

1. Ensure Good sleep: 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep is very much essential

2. Use anti-dandruff shampoo atleast once in 15 days

3. Continue Minoxidil

4. Livon Hair gain tonic is also quite effective

5. Local massage with Coconut oil and Vitamin E added will be benficial. Massage atleast thrice a week during night

6. Do not use soap to wash hairs

7. Ensure good intake of water

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take Care
