Suggest Treatment For Fever In An Infant Post Vaccination

Hi...I understand your concern.
More than 100F is should be considered as fever.
Usually when DPT painful vaccine is given the fever will range from 101 to 102. and there will be swelling.
When compared to this 99F and 99.5F both are not fever. It is natural for any vaccine to cause this amount of temperature raise.
For fever more than 100F - Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose (maximum ceiling dose of 500mg) every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol.
If you can get back to me with weight of the kid I will suggest you the dose and appropriate formulation.
