Brief Answer:
kindly get a blood test done at earliest

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
This is Dr.Riyanka answering your query.

It seems like a viral infection since small red bump like rashes on chest .
Kindly visit the physician at the earliest for a blood test (Complete Blood Count and Blood culture), IgM and IgG test for Dengue fever and Urine analysis immediately.

It is important to note any drop in platelet count, since Dengue fever has become very common in XXXXXXX
Can you also tell me if there is any pain in the eyes and presence of excessive pain of joints and muscles?

Also since it could be viral so antibiotics are not required but keep hydrated . Take lots of fluids.

Also you can take Over the counter drug: Tablet paracetamol 500mg 6th hourly for fever.

Hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
You need to drink good amounts of fluids to prevent any dehydration

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for writing in.

Since platelet count is in the lower normal limit as normal is 1.5 lakh to 3 lakh cells /cu.mm, the doctor has suggested no need of admission.

I would recommend that take rest , drink lots of fluids. Fluid therapy is very essential in dengue as it is a viral infection hence antibiotics are not required.

Take Tablet paracetamol 650mg whenever you get fever. Make sure you dont take more than three tablets per day.

Also, research suggests than drinking papaya leaf juice (2 teaspoons ) morning and evening is very helpful in preventing platelet count to drop.

Kindly get your platelet count checked every alternate day to monitor any drop in platelet count . If it falls below 1lakh/cumm , you may require admission only then. Also , be cautious about symptoms like blood in urine or bleeding gums as these are signs of increased severity of dengue.

So, right now basic treatment required is lots of rest and drinking lots of fluids.

Hope this answered your query.
