Question: Hello I have a very itchy vaginal area always I do not have sex often (one sex partner) and when I do it becomes more itchy it is at the V at the very start of the vagina becomes very irritated and painful no bumps, just pain and itch, no uti or yeast infection have been checked and no discharge and it has happened for years any ideas

I have gone through your history and symptoms and it is most likely due to dermatitis or due to atrophic vaginitis.
At your age estrogen deficiency can cause atrophic vaginitis and estrogen creams are effective in these cases.
If it is due to dermatitis it can be treated with hydrocortisone cream.
