Brief Answer:
The symptoms suggest depression

Detailed Answer:
Hi thanks for asking from HCM

Please elaborate the symptoms with details. Crying spells, persistent fatigue, concentration issues, agitation etc symptoms occur commonly in mood disturbance especially in depression. These should be evaluated if causing problems in day to day functioning.

These have become worse in last week, but did you have mild symptoms prior to that too?

Any recent significant stress at home or at work?

Any problems like low mood, lack of motivation, worthlessness feeling etc?

Any problems of sleep?

Depression can be treated with medicines easily. SSRIs or SNRIs are used commonly for depression. Fluoxetine or Sertraline or Escitalopram etc are common drugs used for such symptoms. The drugs will help to control your symptoms in about 4 weeks. These are safe drugs and if taken under proper supervision don't cause adverse effects. So if these symptoms are resulting in significant distress please visit a psychiatrist for evaluation.

Exercise, yoga, relaxation exercises etc also help to recover fast from these symptoms.

Thanks and Take care

ive always had a concentration problem since end of jr high. I've had mild symtoms here and there in the past but they were never persitant or interfered with my everyday life. My dad died unexpectedly in December 2015 and my finace has cancer right now. I do stress over that. If you ask me why I cry, I cant tell you why. I dont have feelings of worthlessness but I am majorly lacking motivation. When I try and sleep I cry it about 15 minutes and I feel like I am in a panic. I'll start on a project and I cant finish it sometimes. Thanks so much

Brief Answer:
The symptoms suggest depression only

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Thanks for providing details. Concentration problems since childhood could be the part of attention deficit. But due to significant emotional trauma in last few years you have developed symptoms. Lack of motivation, crying spells etc point more towards depression. Please don't delay the treatment. Visit a psychiatrist for evaluation. With medicines your symptoms will decrease and you will be able to lead normal life.

As I've mentioned exercise and yoga can help in improving the mood. Take supplements containing omega fatty acids and Vitamin B12. This will help in quick recovery.

Thanks
