Question: I suffer from frequent urination and extreme dehydration at night. I need to get up 5-6 times to go the bathroom. Besides my mouth is extremely dry as is the throat and lips. I have an enlarged prostate measuring 4.4x4.2x4.2cm ( volume =40cc - I am 60 years old ) and have been taking Flotral for several years. About three months ago, my doctor prescribed Flotral D but I find that the new medication has not improved the condition. If anything, the frequency has increased and the dehydration is a lot worse. When I pointed this it to my doctor, he has changed the medicine again to Urimax .4mg. I am yet to start on Urimax as one of its side effects is dehydration which is something I am already suffering from. I really do not know what to do to reduce both the dehydration and frequency of urination at night. Day time, it is not so bad. Should I just go back to Flotral, which is what I have been taking for several years ? Other medications I take are Thelma H for BP and Atorlip 10 mg for cholesterol. I also have been taking aspirin for several years mainly because of family history of heart attacks
