Question: my fiance of 6 years left me for my best friend. could that be the reason my blood is so thin? i need a psychiatrist, i am so upset and have been borrowing my friends xanax, but i think i need prozac and therapy. he probably left mr because of menopause.

To diagnose depression detail history and mental status examination should be done by a psychiatrist.

If your symptoms of sadness, lack of interest in routine activities,sleep disturbance, reduce appetite, fatigue, hopelessness, worthlessness, crying spells are there since more than 14 days probability of depression is there.

Xanax is benzodiazepine and can cause dependence if taken without medical supervision. I request you to not take it on your own.

Visiting psychiatrist help you to treat your problem.You may not need medicines and can be cured with psychotherapy and counselling only.
