Brief Answer:
If Mirap is causing dizziness then dose should be reduced or stopped

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Mirap is MiRTAZAPINE and the drug is a good anti-depressant drug. The drug is known to cause sedation, dizziness, heaviness in head etc as side effects. In most individuals these side effects reduce by own in about a couple of weeks. But you are on Mirap since last 6 weeks and still the dizziness spells are persisting this means that you are not tolerating the drug. In most cases individuals respond in about 4 weeks. As per my opinion there is need to change the medicine. Medicines of SSRI group of anti-depressant like Sertraline or Escitalopram can help in your symptoms. Sertraline is a drug that is relatively safer than Mirtazapine and will help to reduce your depressive symptoms without causing much side effects.

I would advise you to discuss with your psychiatrist to reduce the doses of Mirap and to start some other anti depressant with low doses and then gradually escalating the dose. This would reduce any chances of dizziness.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Please ask again for more doubts.
