Question: Hi doc, i have recently observed/felt a semi hard substance in my left breast just above the nipple area. It feels like it is of the size of a pea. Had some itching and a boil on it for 2-3 days but that has gone and i can just feel this semi hard pea like thing internally, if i press that area. Is this something i need to worry about? What are the possibilities? What should i do next?

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
First , deep breast lesions are very common at any age and most of these are fibromas, fibroadenomas, atheromas or duct ectasia. These are all benign conditions. More serious and cancerous lesions are very rare in your age however it is always recommended to do evaluation of any breast lump that includes ultrasound and biopsy if indicated. Ultrasound will tell you if further studies are required. Considering your description I don't think you should worry at all. wish you good health. Regards
