Brief Answer:
Looks like viral illness - no need for antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day.

If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics (LIKE AZEE) at all.

Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.

I have a few questions for you. Please get back with answers, so that I can guide you better.

Questions -

1. Today is which day of fever?

2. What is the maximum recorded temperature?

3. How is his activity when the fever touches baseline?

4. Can you upload the images of the tests done so far?

Brief Answer:
Looks like viral illness

Detailed Answer:
Hi...This looks like viral illness with wheezing.

Dengue NS1 Antigen if negative - need not worry.

But if blood culture has not been done for typhoid and WIDAL test has been done, then do not trust it as WIDAL test has to be performed only after 7 days of fever and that too only by tube method which takes one full day to give proper results.

As of now I suggest you give symptomatic treatment for fever alone.

Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose (maximum ceiling dose of 500mg) every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.

Brief Answer:
Looks like viral illness - Don't about some out of range parameters

Detailed Answer:
Hi...the CBC report looks like viral illness. Nothing serious is going on. Don't worry about certain parameters being out of range. We need to see the overall picture keeping in mind the patient's clinical condition too.
