Brief Answer:
Need some further details regarding..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX , Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Now to go further in this regard, I'll be needing a bit more details regarding this pain which will help to narrow down the problem in a more specific way..

Since when are you facing this problem ?

Is it only over the heel or any other region also ?

Does the pain radiate to some other part also or only confined to the ankle region ?

Does it involve both feet ?

Any past history of trauma or injury of the feet ?

Any swelling / redness / discoloration over the affected area ?

When was your health check-up done and how was the report ? If possible please upload them so that I can take a detailed look ?

Have you visited any orthopedician or any physician for the pain ? Any specific investigation done for this so far ? if yes please share the reports..

Do you mean ultrasonic therapy or radiation ?

Any other medical/surgical history ?

Your occupation history, does it involves lot of standing or walking ?

Yes ill-fitted footwear can cause pain too, so a change of foot-wear is a must in that case, which you've already done i believe..

Sometimes improper gait (the pattern of walking) can cause stress to certain pressure points giving rise to these type of problems, which can be easily diagnosed by a visit to any Orthopedician who'll advice the necessary walking skills along with training by physiotherapist's, if required..

Please let me know the answers s othat I can guide you in a more specific way ?

Take Care
Regards

I am facing this problem from April last year (2015), specifically on the heel itself. The pain was in both feet earlier for about 6 months, but now i have pain only in the right foot.
There is no history of injury to the feet. No surgery done.
I can see no swelling / redness / discoloration.
Ultrasonic therapy was used by a physiotherpist earlier along with some other excercises. But has not helped much.
Earlier the pain was only when I got up from long hours of sitting. However, now the pain is throughout the day.
Let me know if you need further details to diagnose the heel pain and suggest remedial actions.
Thanks!

Brief Answer:
need further investigations as well as physical examination..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX, welcome back..

Thanks for following up..

Well it's good that there's no sign of inflammation there, but I'd suggest you to get evaluated at first to find out the exact cause for this as it's already been quite a while..

There are few possibilities to rule out i.e. any underlying structural anomaly (a bony spur to to even fasciitis/tendonitis ), any metabolic abnormality(hyperuricemia/gout/hypocalcemia etc.), even any gait anomaly and a few others ..

So, to narrow down the exact cause is really important at first which will help in the exact treatment planning in the due course..

I'd strongly advice you to schedule an appointment to an Orthopedician to get physically evaluated at first along with a few investigations (i.e. Calcium, Phosphorus, Vit-D3, Uric acid, and X-Ray of Ankle joint as well as both the feet )..

Meanwhile please make sure not to put much pressure of the feet, while sitting try to keep the leg elevated instead of hanging.. I'd also advice you to refrain from any physiotherapy and ultrasonic therapy without having first hand clearance from the Orthopedician..

With timely intervention, you'll be fine, just get these things done to find out the exact problem at first..

Let me know how you stay in the due course..

Take Care
Kind Regards
