Posted on Tue, 24 Jan 2017
Question: I am trying to find a psychiatrist who can do therapy via phone or computer I suffer from agoraphobia, chronic depression, anxiety. I am a former ER nurse who was diagnosed with CML by accident at work after a post exposure labs. Since then I have endured massive secondary illnesses and problems. Every year getting worse. I was seen by a psychiatrist at the cancer center until she retired. My primary doctor has at least continued my meds while I tried to find someone I felt comfortable with and would not make me start over medication wise. I have escaped hospice 3 times and have been on a waiting list for the past 4 months at a local psychiatrist, I keep getting referred to a psychologist who cannot continue my medication regimen. I just need help I journal everyday which helps a lot, but some times I am awake 2-3 days mind cycling thank you for your assistance

I just need to clarify that you would feel comfortable helping me get through a lot of my psychiatric issues while managing my medication of klonopin. I have a script for the next 2 months. Between my family dysfunction and my health I usually do best kind of venting in an email and my doctor reviewing and then addressing as needed. I do want continuity of care which is why I need to make sure this can be long term and not just random questions. Thank you for answering my request. XXXXXXX Gilmore

Detailed Answer:
No doctor can prescribe medications to you without face-to-face in-person evaluations. It is illegal to prescribe medications without physically seeing a patient. However, I can offer therapy as described above.
