Brief Answer:
possible side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.

The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a urine infection. This is confirmed as you have said he has a bladder infection. Chances are that the catheter has been there for too long. Ideally a catheter should be changed in 15 to 20 days. But some physicians keep cost as a concern and keep it in for a month.

Prednisone could be a cause as it predisposes to infections. So I would suggest changing the catheter and getting the urine culture. He may need antibiotics for infection as per culture report.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
