a specific diagnois can only be made after examination. till then you can apply calamine lotion which acts as a soothing agent.

if you have confirmed herpes, then acyclovir treatment will be helpful to you but for that you will require prescription of your doctor.

i also advise you to start taking viatmin b complex that will help in nerve regeneration.

I understood your query

I do not see any lesions in photos attached in the site. I think there are no lesions of herpes in any photos.

It is more likely of fungal infection.
Tinea cruris is a type of fungal infection which is supposed to be very irritating and difficult to treat because the groin area gives it perfect environment to grow.
Even if treated and patient feels it is gone, it has not. Even few threads remaining may grow again like the original one.

I advise you to avoid tight clothing any time of the day and no under garments as and when possible, cotton is suppose to be better to absorb sweat. Keeping the affected area ventilated is the idea.

A cream containing broad spectrum anti fungal activity and steroid (to reduce the inflammation) need to be applied thoroughly.
Even you are symptom free keep applying the medication for a long period is KEY, to get rid of this. You will require consulting dermatologist for prescription of drug.
No oral medication has been found more useful than local one.
