Suggest Treatment For Bumps On The Labia

default
Posted on Sat, 18 Feb 2017
Question: GYNEOCOLOGIST Q:

I have just found these bumps on my labia and I am wondering if they are genital warts or vestibular papillomatoisis?

I have tried the vinegar test which did make them irritated but didnt see an obvious whitening effect. Do warts go very white with vinegar or it can be missed?

And please let me know if you have seen many cases of both these conditions.

Thankyou!

It will not allow me to upload photos!!! Grrrr!

I have emailed photos as the photos wont upload.

Brief Answer:
It looks like vestibular papillomatosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.

I have seen the photos that you have uploaded. It looks like vestibular papillomatosis. Warts usually have rough serrated edges. I have seen several such cases in my practice.

When treated with vinegar warts usually appear white.
I hope this is helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama

Thank you so much!! I thought so but I wasn't sure!

The warts turn very white with vinegar or just a little white? It's very hard to see down there! ;)

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
welcome back.
The warts turn very white. Other features of vestibular papillomatosis are they are soft, either pinkish or of the colour of adjacent skin and the base3s of the lesions are separate.

Consult Gynecologist for examination and biopsy.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
