Suggest Treatment For Boils Around The Mouth And Chin

Question: Hi doctor,
Since few days, some boils or i dont know what to call them have appeared around my mouth i.e. Above upper lip and on the chin. Recently they are spreading beside every such thing. Could u please help me out in getting rid of these things. This things contain little pus and blood. It Pains if one of them broke.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these bumps. I have reviewed your information fully and the attached images. This is suggestive of a skin infection. My thinking is that you sustained small cuts during shaving which paved the way for an infection. Most of these would resolve without the need for any aggressive medical intervention. My recommendation is to do the following:

1. Avoid picking on it all the times. This causes spread and delays healing.
2. Cleanse twice daily with an antiseptic like Iodine.
3. Report progress to me in 48-72hours with another image.
4. Healing is expected to happen within 5-7days.
5. If pain is severe, use Tylenol.
