Suggest Treatment For Blisters On Feet

Question: Hi, I got several blisters from my boots yesterday, my grandma told me to soak my feet in salt water ( table salt), but there is one blister that no matter how long I leave it in the soak, it will not stop burning, not directly on the blister but the skin around it, even after taking it out it still burns for a few minutes and is rather painful. Does this mean it is badly infected? I kept a bandaid with triple antibiotic on it most of the day, and rinsed it with rubbing alcohol this morning. I am just concerned because I am 9 weeks pregnant, so the thought of an infection just freaks me out. Any advice on what to do? Thanks!

Brief Answer:
It is not infected.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

Don't worry so much. Since you developed this blister just yesterday from your boots, it is very unlikely to be infected so soon. I have seen the image. It does not seem infected.

I suggest there is no need to soak your feet in salt water now. Take paracetamol 500mg up to three times daily for 1-2 days if it is painful. In all probability it should resolve by then. It is just inflammation and not infection.
Do not wear boots. You can apply bandaid with triple antibiotic. But don't keep the area moist. Keep it dry.
If the pain worsens ( I do not think it will ) in two days time then you can consult your doctor.
I hope this helps.
